Introduction
The Training and Placement (T&P) Cell caters to various activities aimed at fulfilling the training and placement requirements of students, as part of their knowledge development and career growth.
Objectives
The primary objective of the T&P Cell is to prepare students for successful careers by providing them with the necessary skills and opportunities and subsequent placement of young graduating Pharmacists in industries and other relevant disciplines across the country.
It also focuses on the development of faculty members by facilitating their professional growth.
Key Functions
The key functions include organizing activities and providing services that address both student
and faculty development needs:
• In-plant training: Facilitating real-world industrial experience for students.
• Mini/Main project work: Assisting students in undertaking significant project work.
• Campus Interviews: Organizing recruitment drives and interviews on campus.
• Con-current career development (CCDP) Courses: Offering courses that run parallel to regular academics, focusing on career development.
• Career Guidance & Counselling: Providing professional guidance and counselling services to help students make informed career choices.
Faculty and Staff Development
The T&P Cell also plays a crucial role in the professional development of faculty members and other staff through the following activities:
• Faculty training: Organizing training programs to enhance the teaching and technical skills of faculty members.
• Seminars and Conferences: Arranging for participation in seminars and conferences to keep faculty updated with the latest industry trends and research.
• Publications and Presentations: Encouraging and facilitating the publication and presentation of papers in seminars and workshops.
